Calves raised and pre-conditioned on the ranch, weaned for at least 45 days prior to delivery.
Calves are processed and vaccinated three times, branding as young calves, pre-weaning or weaning, and boostered 3-6 weeks later. The last vaccines need to be given at least 2 weeks prior to shipping.
Core Vaccines:
- Clostridial 7, 8, or 9-way vaccine. 1 dose at branding and 2 doses at weaning
- Viral 5-Way (IBR, PI3, BRSV, BVD types I,II) Modified live or attenuated MLV for IBR and PI3. The BVD and BRSV can be modified live or killed. 1 dose at branding and 2 doses at weaning
o Part of this protocol may be given as an intranasal vaccines - Mannheimia haemolytica and/or Pasturella multocida 2 doses one at branding and another at weaning
Non-core Vaccines (not required):
- Haemophilus somus
- Pink -eye (Moraxella Bovis)
Parasite Control
- Internal & External Parasite Control
Improving Weight Gain/Control digestive problems
- Growth implants (optional)
- Feed ionophores (optional)
- Mineral supplements
- Feed rations (Consultation with nutritionist or veterinarian)
